Although recent technology has provided us with sophisticated low-maintenance Air-Conditioning systems, a maintenance program is still imperative. Maintaining your Air-Conditioning system can prolong the longevity and performance of your system.
Did you know that a clovked filter could greatly increase your energy consumption? It should be cleaned regularly to ensure you are getting the most out of your investment. How often do you clean the filter for the clothes dryer? The Air-Conditioning filter is very similar.
Here are some tips on how to look after your AC.
Cleaning the filter
Cleaning the filter is a simple procedure, which anyone can do with no special tools required. A visual inspection or noting a reduction in air flow, usually indicates a need to clean the filter. Due to the sheer number of different units we ask that you refer to the manufacturers handbook which should have details on your filter maintenance.
If in doubt, we recommend at least a half-yearly check by a qualified SEAIR technician that will protect your Air-Conditioners warranty.
